The cuisine here is a delightful blend of coastal flavors with a flair that sets it apart. For starters, you can't go wrong with the Coconut Crunchy Shrimp or the calamari, both of which have received rave reviews from guests who appreciate the innovative approach and quality ingredients. The freshness continues with the signature Fire Roasted Baja Salmon, expertly paired with creamy avocado corn pico and zesty mango sticky rice, a dish that many have praised as one of the best they’ve ever tasted.

Meat lovers will find their paradise too, with options like the Prime Rib and Filet Mignon, both slow-roasted to perfection and served with Yukon Gold garlic mashed potatoes that are as buttery and luxurious as they sound. The best part was our amazing waitress Alyssa. She is a gem! I dined with a group of 6. We sat outside, and the views were great! Where the restaurant lacks is service time and ambience… there was zero dinner music, so you hear all the chatter from the surrounding tables, but as for the service… my group all ordered drinks as soon as we sat down because we had read from other reviewers that the bar could take a while, and it took over 20 minutes to get our drinks. They all came out at different times, which I’m assuming is them not having enough bar staff. Then, for dinner, I ordered the swordfish, which was just OK. I had also ordered wine to come out with my food but didn’t receive it until I had eaten half my dinner. Again… Alyssa is amazing. She did all she could to make the experience as good as it could be!

What a treat! Hands down the best salmon dish I think I’ve ever had. Fire Roasted Baja Salmon with shrimp, avocado corn pico and mango sticky rice was outstanding. Hubs had a filet that was also amazing. We ordered the Coconut Crunchy shrimp as a started and it was fantastic! They even brought us a crème brûlée dessert for our anniversary that was so delicious! Bonus city view was a great plus.

I gave it 4 stars for the location and the view. The food was pretty good but not amazing. Definitely a good choice if you want a fancy dinner with a nice view and decent food.

We’ve been to Peohe’s a few times now and have never had a bad experience. The food is always great and the service is just as good. We started with the calamari, which we love. It comes with fried veggies (not fries like some reviews say), and we actually enjoy that. The crab cake was really good too it’s mostly meat, not a lot of filler, and served over a perfectly fried soft shell crab. I had the filet mignon, it was slightly overcooked, but honestly not a huge deal since I usually prefer ribeye (which they don’t offer). The real highlight was the 2 lbs of king crab legs. They were already split open, super clean, and basically spike-free. So good! We also tried the mojito flight, it was really tasty, just wish they were a little stronger. We sat outside on the patio, and it was perfect. Not too loud or too cold, and you could hear the waves. Our server was great too, he was super chill and never rushed us, even though we came in late.

Definitely a fancy, romantic restaurant. Highly recommended if you are having a date night. Service is superior. Great food, excellent drink menu. Recommend outdoor dining area during the evening because of the great view of the bay and downtown San Diego across the bay. They have gas lamps and table lights to create an ambient and romantic atmosphere.

A wonderful 50th birthday party event. The servers, Carrie and Kevin, were great for our table for 18. They really took care of us. Great drinks and you can't beat the view.

Peohe's has some excellent appetizer dishes such as the artichokes and the beet salad. I also enjoyed their burrata caprese. As a vegetarian, however, there were zero entrees available. The salads are too small to be an entree and there are literally zero vegetarian options for a main course. Additionally, prices are going to set you back at least $75 per person and service is going to be spotty (but solid when there) perhaps as a result of having too few waiting staff for the size of the restaurant. The dessert was great and the quality of all ingredients felt great. I would not recommend this place to any vegetarian, however, you can make it work and enjoy a great meal if you wind up here!
